Help to write protect buildmetadata files

In cases where a build process copies contents of different JAR files together, the metadata files of these dependencies may override the locally generated buildmetadata file. Add a flag that allows to write protect this file to prevent this overriding.

Make this option set to false per default to preserve the current behaviour.
