List of central resource types.

Article
An article is a written document within a magazine, may also an online article. Only a couple of pages. Blog posts may only be articles in this definition if they have passed some quality gate (typically provided by professional publishers).
Blog
A blog on the web with a number of blog articles.
Blog Post
An article on a blog. The difference to an article is that the blog post has no publisher that is different from the author.
Book
A monograph of at least 49 pages (according to the UNESCO definition). A book may have different forms, but in this definition is required to be readable.
Cheat Sheet
A concise set of notes used for quick reference.
File Repository
A file repository resource is used to store files as attachments without creating a dedicated ressource for these files. Repositories of this type are a simple replacement for a
file storage system.
Guideline
Written (set of) statement(s) by which to determine a course of action. Typically issued to get results of higher quality.
Magazine
The resource is a periodical (not a one-time publication). May be printed or available online, but is required to be readable.
Overview
A document with the purpose to provide an overview over or introduction to a topic.
Paper
Scientific treatise or article.
Podcast
A resource to be listened to.
Slides
A set of slides from a speaker's talk or a collection of such slides.
Specification
A set of documented requirements to be satisfied by a product or service. Specifications in this category are typically published as technical standards by organisations.
Talk
Information that is part of a conference session. No video material is attached. It may contain the script from the talk, slides or notes from an attendee.
Television
Brodcasted on television, without a permanent location on the internet.
Thesis
A scientific work on a given topic.
Videocast
A recorded presentation of any type.
Website
A website is a resource on the web, usually dedicated to a given topic.
Whitepaper
A white paper is an authoritative report or guide that informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body's philosophy on the matter.
