maven-changes-plugin

The maven-changes-plugin provides means to manually add changes information (which we used for a long time). It also provides automatic reports for JIRA, but currently (as of version 2.1) no support for Bugzilla.

There is a patch adding support for Bugzilla by Matthew Beermann, but requiring Java 1.5 (which should be no problem for most environments). The patch has been provided on 18/Jul/07. In fact this patch was the spark to start with this project.

If you want to manually edit the changes based on the automatically generated reports to provide a high quality written summary of changes for your users, we recommend using the maven-changes-plugin as a standard report plugin for Maven.

BugzillaMetrics

BugzillaMetrics is a tool to evaluate and visualize changes in the issue management system.

Currently we do not generate such reports, but evaluating which reports may be useful as a documentation for a given release.
