Since version 1.4 the extension supports Application Links with Impersonating OAuth and Basic Authentication.

Authentication

The following authentication methods are supported:

Impersonating OAuth (recommended)
Basic Authentication (useful for non-Atlassian servers that do not provided OAuth)
